Email sent even when 'Disabled' is checked

I have my install of this plugin configured as such (email address changed for privacy): https://i.imgur.com/z63f3OI.png
I originally had email notifications set up for my site, but later decided to disable them. I just checked the box to disable without changing any other settings, but I’m still getting notifications.
