    Hello,

Installed with a couple of hiccups, and now configured with the Gmail Oauth 2.0 and it’s working. test email working and are in the log, but I never received it on the other end. Tried with multiple email address and it’s always the same. Sent but not received.

Even try with my Sendgrid account and the same happens, sent but not received.

    Many thanks!

  • Hi @pascalmatte,

Does the Post SMTP email log show that the email has been successfully sent? Can you paste the Diagnostics Log from your site into your next reply?

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hi @pascalmatte,

Sorry that I missed your reply! It looks like you are trying to send from your domain as a Gmail account? Gmail don’t like this, so please send as the Gmail account.

Please let us know how that goes!

    Kind Regards,
    Tim

    Hello @tneville

Well, Isn’t that supposed to be the purpose of this extension? Allow sending email from our domain / blog via gmail for better reception?

It worked like a charm on an other website that I own, with the old version of Postman SMTP,but not with this one…

    Hi @pascalmatte,

No – Post SMTP sends your wp_mail messages via SMTP. It is not designed as a rebranding service. The ‘fault’ here lies with Google, it is to prevent spam.

As your domain name will not be registered in Google’s SPF, the SPF check will fail and it is even possible that it discards the mail on that basis.

You need to use an SMTP service that supports a custom domain – Gmail itself doesn’t, as it is targeted at basic users. You can use any SMTP service with Post SMTP, so this is not a limitation of the plugin.

    Hope that helps. ??

    Kind Regards,
    Tim
