• Hi,
CRON is giving me problems again. It didn’t work for a long time, then with Pratamesh’s help it worked (last successful job was 28 May 2018).
But all recent attempts have failed. I haven’t changed wordpress hosting. I have 2,400+ subscribers. Testing with just ONE delivery address (my own) also fails. Can you help please? Are you able to look at how my last successful CRON job was set up and compare the settings with NOW… perhaps one of yor updates has messed things up for me????
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience you had.

Did you find anything related to cron into your server error log?

Hi, I don’t see error logs. I operate a blog under Managed WordPress Hosting by WPBLOGHOST, so I don’t have access to server files.

    Hello,

    Ok.

Can you please copy cron url and hit from your browser and let us know whether it works fine or not.

If not, I suggest you to reduce the per hour email count from Email Subscribers > Settings > Cron section and check once again.

    Hi Malay,
I copied CRON URL from settings and pasted into browser. This is the result:
    {“es_remaining_email_count”:0}

I’ve tried reducing the email cont per hour, but it has made no difference.

Really puzzled as to why it worked fine until 3 months ago and not now.

I’m desperate for my 3500+ email subscribers to receive important communications from me. Is there anything else you can suggest? Maybe another way to send bulk communications? Cron-job.org isn’t an option, as I’ve tried it before and it started sending old emails.

I’d be most grateful for your advice.

    Hello,

    >> As you received this json data means your cron job worked and there are no email in queue at this moment.

So, I don’t think any issue with cron jobs.

I would request you to create a test notification and send it to small group via cron job and check whether it works or not.

So I tested it with just 1 email address (mine) and the cron job worked. But then I set up a Newsletter to go to 3,600 recipients and only the first 268 emails were sent. I’m really upset, as this newsletter was about a third-party limited time promotion, which would have given me a much needed income boost. ??

Pasted Cron URL into browser and it just sits and and does nothing. Then the browser resets or “Service Unavailable”.

Instructions say I don’t need cPanel.

Subscriber lists are minimum 10,000 per state. I need to send to all 50 states! Host allows 500 per hour. Program set for 300.

Can I stack jobs? Starting list is 12,600 subscribers. Populated states may have 25,000 or more.

My email is now unable to send from any account. Says I’m over a hundred emails over the allowed limit of 500. That needs to be cleared. Talked with hosting provider already. Change in email limits require hosting change – 4 to 10 times more expensive!

Need complete documentation for this plug-in on how to work with this.
Looked at premium but there is no mention of any difference in how it runs cron jobs.

If I stop/delete this cron job, how to send the unsent part of the list is a question. How can it be set up so it sends the number selected every hour until the list is completed?

    Wish List:

To be able to see how many sent and size of list. Where the controls are for each cron job? How many emails in each group. The ability to send partial lists – choosing which emails to send. To send the unsent or failed emails in a list.

    Documentation. Documentation. Documentation.
