    Good Day,

I am having problems editing the email template file for the file:

    customer-processing-order.php

I have put the file in the following directory:

    childtheme/woocommerce/emails/

The alterations I make doesn’t occur in the email. I have done email template overrides successfully in the past, so I’m not sure what the problem is.

Next, as a bit of a troubleshooting experiment, I deleted the template in the child theme and then made a simple change to the email template in the parent theme. All I did was change the word “Hi” to “Hello”. The changes did not translate or occur this way either.

What do you guys suspect is going on here? Why is it that changes in the parent theme file of customer-processing-order.php are not even having an effect?

    Kind regards,
    Jethro

    Hey @happyhealthyhonesthuman

Have you tried placing the file in /wp-content/themes/oceanwp//woocommerce/emails/ ?

    Hi Senff,

Yes, I had the template in:

    /wp-content/themes/oceanwp-child-theme-master/woocommerce/emails

When I went to the WP Dashboard and went to status, I scrolled down to the Overrides section and it said that there was a template override in place and Woocommerce was recognising it but the edits were not showing in the specific email.

I have added theme support in the functions.php file.

I have set template debug mode to false in wp-config.

I deactivated all plugins and that also didn’t help.

Any idea about why my edits in the parent theme didn’t even work? Maybe that is a sign to something?

    Thanks for your time.

Is it intentional that you had 2 / after woocommerce? Or was it a typo?

Is it meant to be woocommerce//email, or just woocommerce/email?

Hi @happyhealthyhonesthuman, Sorry that we missed your last response. Are you still facing this issue?

Any idea about why my edits in the parent theme didn’t even work? Maybe that is a sign to something?

If you change your theme to the parent theme and copy the email template file into the relevant folder in the parent theme, do changes then reflect?

Is it meant to be woocommerce//email, or just woocommerce/email?

Only one slash is necessary; that was a mistype.
