I have created an email template to use as my base design for my emails. In the Email Styling Settings option I have set a Body Background” color set to Blue and the “Content Background Color” set to white. The “content Max Width” is set to 700px.

When I send an email to Gmail clients the White content Background Color DOES NOT show and only the Blue background is shown. In the Email Preview function it renders correctly and also when sending to another email client I use it renders correctly.

As Gmail is one of the most popular online email clients is there any way to resolve this issue?

  • Hello @fabl3,

Can you please share a screenshot of the email that you have set in FluentCRM and the email that you have received in Gmail where you are facing the issue, so we can try recreating the problem on our end.

    Thank you.

    Please find attached 3 screenshots:-

    2. Template Email Styling Settings –> https://postimg.cc/qhtQ7SY3
    3. The email received in Gmail, where it is missing the white “Content Background Color” setting applied in the template –> https://postimg.cc/mcnNKVD2

I hope that this clearly demonstrates the issue I am seeing in the Gmail client.

    Hello @fabl3,

Thank you for sharing the screenshots. I have recreated the problem on our end and it seems like the content background color isn’t working. I guess the issue showed up after the last update. I will forward it to our developers so hopefully, the issue will be fixed within the next update.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
