    Hello,

I had to disable “Proxied” in cloudflare (DNS > CNAME = Mail > Proxy Status) as i was unable to receive emails anymore – kind of timeout issue. Now set to DNS only.

I would suggest to add this topic to your FAQs if indeed that’s the solution to follow. Thanks.

I’m using litespeed > cache set to OFF

    Hi @boabo,
In Cloudflare DNS you are not supposed to enable the orange cloud (proxy) for the mail records. Generally, your main domain example.com and www are supposed to be proxied through Cloudflare. Whereas the mail is supposed to be an A record which is not proxied through Cloudflare. Same goes for pop and smtp.

Hello, mail proxy and CNAME was enabled by default. I will try to change CNAME to A type. Thanks

    Hi @boabo,
Yes CNAME will cause issue as it is pointing to your root domain which is poxied. Change it to A record and put the actual IP and don’t proxy it.

Done but there’s still a warning next to the record -> “This record exposes the IP address used in the A record on autoconfig.domain.com. Enable the proxy status to protect your origin serve”. CNAME had same warning. I’m confused. Sorry to bother you with such details.

Ignore that warning. Without exposing the IP the email not work.
