Email to specific user when their photo receives approved comment

ok, i am confused.

as a separate issue, i was receiving email notifications just fine. people would comment on photos and i would get an email saying a wppa photo has been commented on and then i could moderate it and approve it. Those notifications stopped like, a week ago maybe. is it possible i am using a different version of wppa that has impacted that? or… what might have happened?

ok, it looks liek somethign else has started happening since may 11th, it doesnt look like wppa issue, sorry, i guess i figured it was since it happened suddenly during our changes

also, will only admin be able to moderate?

will they get it before moderation or after admin moderates? can i toggle to choose this?

One question: Do you upload the photos with the name already set, or do you change the name after upload?

Do the following:

– Install and activate the current development version
– Tick Table IV-A28: Make owner like photoname
– Set Table VII-D2.2 to: Owner, admin and superuser
– UNtick Table VII-D2.7: Frontend Delete
– Tick Table IV-F5.2: Comment notify approved
– Run Table VIII-B18: Set owner to name

when i bulk upload photos they are already named by firstname lastname.jpg

actually, you should draw your self portrait, scan it and email it to me and I can include it in the project! You are invited. if you do, draw it in a square proportion. I need it big enough to be 2 x 2″ at 300dpi.

photoname will need to equal user entered first and last name, not user display name, but i have a pluginin that forces users display name to be first and last name if they entered it in their profile.

also, it said it skipped 1 file, and i see they are all still “owned by” admin name. isnt it supposed to change the owned by field on each photo to the photoname?

Yes it should do that (Table VIII-B18), but only if IV-A28 is ticked!

Fixed: xxx is important, these are done, Skipped: yyy these were already set to the right owner.

Previousle we had the fe upload enabled if the display name was equal to photoname. That worked, so this should work also.

Look at the logfile ( Table VIII-C1 ) It should say lines like:

ok, it also stopped emailing me as admin that a photo comment is awaiting moderation . it seems to only email upon approval.

can it still email admin upon new comment awaiting moderation?

its working from initial tests, but now it only emails approved comment to user, and doesnt email new comment needing moderation to me as admin.
