I am looking to set up StageShow on our site for forthcoming productions. I’ve created test productions/seating plans/performances etc. and have successfully purchased test tickets. Doing this, I’ve received the paypal confirmation, the sales appear in the ‘sales’ log. However, I am not receiving any email notification from StageShow. I’ve also enabled the reservation option and also not receiving any emails. I’ve tested this over a number of days and email accounts to check it’s not a spam issue. I’ve also used an email check on WordPress to check wordpress’s email functionality. I’m pretty certain the PayPal element is set up correctly with the IPN as the sale is recorded with the relevant details from PayPal back to the sales summary.

Is anyone able to give me any pointers on further troubleshooting for this email issues?

    Many thanks

  • Hi

I Use WP Mail SMTP to be sure that the mails go out with the correct settings.

This way the from and the selected mail address are he same an correct.

It gives an error when something is wrong.

    Hi,

To further Bo’s response I also use, with WP Mail SMTP, the plugin WP Mail Log. This will keep a track of all your outgoing mail and let you know of errors also.

Please note within Stageshow -> Tools there is a Sale EMail Test where you can Divert an E-mail. If you tick the ‘Add Diagnostics’ checkbox it will print to screen the email HTML and some further diagnostics which may prove helpful.

    Thanks,
    Chris
