  • @ankgne,

    There is some validation of input but no email address checking.

    Can you please provide me link to documentation that mentions the same? I tried a basic negative test scenario like not providing any email address and hitting subscribe but the plugin did not give any error message.

    @ankgne,

    There isn’t any documentation as such.

    I just tried hitting the ‘Subscribe’ button while the text box still contained “Enter email address…”.

    The page reloaded the same form with this appended below:
    “Sorry, but that does not look like an email address to me.”

    Hi,

    When I leave the e-mail input box blank and click the Subscribe button, I get the message “Sorry, but that does not look like an email address to me.” – that’s OK, works fine. But, I also see the “Blog Subscribe Confirmation” page I set up via Pages > Add New, and referenced via Subscribe2 > Settings > Appearance > Set default Subscribe2 page as. This is not OK because it makes it look like a valid e-mail address was entered (it Thanks the user for subscribing). The same thing happens if I enter data that is not in e-mail address format.

    Is there a way to stay on the existing page when a blank or invalid e-mail is entered so the user is not confused?

    Thanks.

    @wpdavid,

    For future reference, unless you issue is identical to the one in an open thread then you should open your own thread.

    And in answer to your question, this is not currently possible – when the page is submitted it gets posted to another page – the page it’s posted to can be made conditional on the content without adding further code to the plugin.
