Email with downloads will not send

I’m having a similar problem. When a purchase is made, the money is transferred via paypal and credited to our account, but the payments remain in the “Pending” state in EDD and the emails are never sent. If I manually change a payment’s status to “Complete”, the email goes out and the download link works as normal. I have disabled the PayPal IPN verification, but the payments are still stuck in the “Pending” stage.

Are you using Database Caching with W3 Total Cache?

Yes

Would it be possible to run a cron job to help complete the transactions?

There is no need for that. Sales are completed automatically when working correctly.

Please try disabling Database Caching and then test again.

I checked and database cache has actually been disabled the entire time – we haven’t been using that part of the W3 caching plugin. Are there any other conflicts it could be?

What other parts of W3TC are you using?

We’re using the “Page cache” and “browser cache” portions of the plugin

Those shouldn’t cause any issues. Do you have any errors recorded in Downloads > Reports > Logs > Payment Errors?
