Emails are being sent from wrong email adress

    In Email setup, I have a address entered and override selected, but emails are not being sent from the address specified?

    Hi,

    Sorry, but GMail does not over-write the From header on outgoing mail.

    When you send a message through Gmail’s SMTP with an unknown From address, Gmail replaces it with that account’s primary address.

    To avoid that, you need to define the From address in Gmail, as a custom From address. Go to Settings->Accounts, and add the address under “Sent mail as”. Then, Gmail will permit you to use that address.
