• The plugin stopped logging emails. The emails are being delivered but nothing is showing up in the log. We were having some issues with email deliverability but the log was working fine. We corrected the deliverability issues by adjusting some MX records on October 30th and the emails are now being received, but the log is not logging them. There were 3 log entries after the MX records were changed, but nothing since November 4th. All email tests I am doing now are not showing up in the log.

There are no errors in the server logs. I also used the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to check for conflicts, but even with all plugins disabled and using the default theme, the plugin is not logging emails.

Any thoughts what might be causing this and how I can get this working again?

    Thank you.

    Hello @lyeffeth

Thanks for reporting this issue. It looks really strange.

Apart from the MX record change did you do anything else around the time the emails stopped getting recorded like updating PHP version or updating Email log etc?

Also how are you generating the test emails?

    Thanks for the quick response.

We made no other changes at that time. Yesterday I updated to PHP 7.4 but this stopped working before that. This plugin was already up to date.

To check the emails, I am both submitting our contact form on the site (Contact Form 7 plugin) and using the Check Email plugin to do tests.

I have a development version of my site on my local computer and the plugin is logging properly there.

    Thanks for your response.

Looks like there is some combination of software version/config in your prod server which is preventing the emails from getting logged.

Are both your development version and production version running the same version of WordPress?

Yes, they are running the same version. And they are both running PHP 7.4/Apache. I use WP Migrate Pro to pull the database from production to development so all configuration should be identical. I have a few plugins I use for testing in development that aren’t on production but everything else is the same.
