My client’s website has the WP contact form. She reported that the form is sending emails to her junk folder despite that fact that she set up a smart folder to prevent this. Two emails were potential business! Help is appreciated.

  • Hi charique,

I’m sorry to hear your client is running into email delivery issues!

This is, unfortunately, a growing issue across the internet. The main cause is the rise in spam — as spam emails become more common and more clever, email providers are having to become increasingly cautious about what emails they allow through. Unfortunately, this means that more legitimate emails are also getting flagged as spam (or in some cases, not delivering at all).

But the good news is that we know the solution: installing an SMTP plugin. This will authenticate your emails, which basically just means that email providers will be able to understand they’re not spam.

Here’s our article with some extra details on this issue and all of our recommended SMTP plugins. You’ll also find a tutorial link under each option — this will share a step-by-step guide to getting everything set up for your emails to deliver successfully.

    I hope this helps! ??
