    Hello,

I am currently using your Contact Form Maker plugin for my website. I
like the way it’s designed and think it’s a really great program.
Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get emails into my regular inbox; they
all end up in the spam folder. This website is actually for a client,
and the emails from the contact form will ultimately go to her, but I
need to get the delivery ensured first before I set her email as the
delivery address. I have already spoken with my hosting service
(hostgator) in hopes that they would be able to advise me here, but
they said the plugin developer would probably be of more help. Please
let me know if there’s anything I should be doing differently to solve
this problem. Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Hi @phelps78!

Thank you for posting about this problem!

The problem with emails being filtered as spam is mostly controlled by the email provider. The reason is that these emails are PHP-generated.

However, you can try to set a unique subject and additional content to the email with submissions, this might help you prevent the issue.

Also, there are certain phrases, that are usually detected as spammy content. Could you please take a look at this link? It is a blog post, which indicates which words and phrases should be avoided.

Thank you! Have a great day!
