    Hi,

After we upgraded to WP 5.2, email verification is not working. The emails are not sent/received. I installed the WP Mail log plugin to check but the emails are not being generated there as well.

    Why could this be happening?

We use WP Mail SMTP to send the emails and our test emails from there, as well as other WP emails like WordFence notifications, comment notifications are working as expected. So far only Two Factor emails have stopped for some reason…

This is probably related to your host configuration. The plugin uses the exact same method for sending email as WordPress core does for password resets and update notifications.

I’m having the same issue and I also use WP Mail SMTP

I’m unable to replicate the issue. Could you please check if the password reset emails are being sent and delivered as expected? Try checking the spam folder, in case the webserver and the name server for the domain isn’t configured to help recognize the valid origin of the email.

We are also having this problem. It was fine on our dev/staging environments but it is broken on two production environments for different sites, one using version .50 and one using .49 of the plugin. I see no errors being thrown, the emails just do not show up for any user.
