    Hi:

I just downloaded this plugin and am testing it. I can’t seem to get the templating to work – it only sends out text emails. Even the test email is only sent as text. And, for some reason, it is stripping out all line breaks from most those text based emails. The only one so far it hasn’t done that to is the test email sent from within the customizer.

Obviously something about my configuration is throwing things off. I am on a multi-site configuration and originally did a network activate. Then I reversed that and activated at the sub-site level to see if that made a difference. It didn’t.

I am running on IIS/Windows but not sure how much of a difference that should make.

Looking forward to any suggestions you might have on how to fix this!

    Thanks.

  • HI! I haven’t tested it on multisite. Give me some time to try it and I will let you know.
    I don’t think windows it’s aa issue.
Do you have any plugin related to emails, smtp or something like that?

Do you see any eeror in your server logs?

Just tested on a new local multisite install and seems to work fine for me either the test email or for exampe if a new site is created.

    Hi:

Thanks for checking into this – its much appreciated. I am using an SMTP plugin called POSTMAN. I am also using a caching plugin called W3 Total Cache. The standard WP mail doesn’t seem to work on a standard IIS installation so an SMTP plugin was the only way to get mail delivered.

    Thanks again.

Hi, I released an update that makes it compatible. Can you check please?

    Hi:

I did a brief run-through with this. It works great. My only concern would be that it also styles the woocommerce emails. With over 100 different emails that woocommerce can send out across all their most popular plugins, it might be good to have an option to not style those messages or to exclude them based on keywords in the message topic or even to have different templates for different keywords.

I’ll keep working with this but so far the basics have worked on the standard WP registration messages, some basic woocommerce shopping cart messages, one AweSomeSupport message and a formidable forms registration message.

Was it the SMTP server that was the issue? If so it would be nice to know what it was just in case I run into something similar with another plugin later.

Thanks very much! The quick fix was a nice surprise that I wasn’t expecting!

Hi elindydotcom, the Postman plugin simple sends emails in a different way that the other plugins. So in order to work with postman we need to apply the template on a different layer. It’s a very nice plugin I didn’t know about it.

The Idea of Wocommerce is to wrap everything on a customizable email template. Then you can customize every email content as you wish inside woocomerce. We will see how this works once it gets more users and feedback.
