• Hi Folks,
    I have an issue with my site related to email sending issues. I have tried just about everything over the last few days with no luck.

    Here’s some details;
    – Latest wordpress version and all plugins up to date.
    – Jobify Theme
    – WP Job manager with all recommended plugins
    – Ninja forms for contact forms
    – Woocommerce for processing paid job listings
    – Using wp_mail()
    – Using Email Log plugin to help debug

    Here’s the behaviour:
    NO emails are ever received for any sending function, EXCEPT from a contact form (Ninja Form).
    So Woocommerce order confirmations, WP Job Manager job alerts, Job Application alerts to employers or to candidates, and password change requests are not being received.

    Like I said, ONLY Ninja Forms contact form messages are being received.

    – Email Log plugin shows all emails are being sent.
    – No emails are received in spam folders
    – Emails from test email php script in root folder work fine
    – Tested with Mailgun, HTTP and SMTP both report fail upon test, but show in email log as sent
    – BlueHost insists its not on their end.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated as I haven’t found any where on the web with anyone having this particular issue.

    Thanks in advance.
    Nick

    An update:
    I installed Easy WP SMTP plugin and configured it using the BlueHost SSL mail settings. When I send a test message from the plugin settings screen, it works fine, but the email is not recorded in the email log. All other email functions as described in my original post still aren’t working.
    So it seems the route the test message takes is different to all other wordpress functions.
    Please! any help would be greatly appreciated.

    An update for anyone following this;
    I hired an ace troubleshooter to run some tests and different scenarios. We finally figured out that any email with the domain name in it, going outside of the network, was blocked. With this testing we were able to ask bluehost to check their email logs to compare messages that were sent vs not sent. It turns out my domain was blacklisted on one list and bluehost was picking it up and reporting as spam. They happily fixed and emails are working again, for now.
