Emails notifying of admin logins not showing IP & hostname since update??
-
I updated my WordFence plugin across my sites today (for those that weren’t already set on auto-update, anyway).
After later logging into one of my sites, I received my usual notification email (as desired) that someone with username of “____” with administrative rights had logged into ____.com
In the past, this line was always followed up by a line showing the user’s IP address, and then on the next line was the hostname – which made it really easy for me to, at a glance, see that it was my ISP (and coming from my hometown) and that it was likely just me having logged in. I have a lot of sites that I log in and out of throughout the day…this is part of why I had chosen WordFence for them all. But now if I just get a notification saying that someone with administrator access logged into suchandsuch.com with no other identifying information, what use is that?
Is this a bug? Or has this functionality been pulled from the free version of WordFence with the latest update??
Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Emily
