  • Hi @matthewbiolley,

The recipient’s mailbox provider or your web host might have strict filters that are preventing the delivery. Please contact your host to remove such filters, if any.

Alternatively, if your host is unable to find the issue, you can consider switching to other mailers such as Sendinblue, Gmail, Sendgrid, etc. These are API based and do not often encounter issues like this. In case it helps, here’s our documentation for each of the available mailers.

    I hope this helps!

I am having the same issue with hostgator as well. I am using this SMTP plugin with several websites and all of them work as supposed to – except one. The settings are correct and the email is sent through the site and host, but not received. I tried this with multiple recipient emails.

However, if I send a test email as plain text, it gets delivered. Looks like a weird issue. I have contacted hostgator and they couldn’t find anything. I hope you can help me with this.

    Hi @thorstendembski,

This seems to be some server configuration that is strictly filtering the HTML emails. Your hosting provider support should be able to fix this issue. Alternatively, you may consider switching to other mailer options. In case it helps, here’s our documentation for each of the available mailers.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I also have the same error. I have a home server that I setup with WordPress just to learn and develop a new skill. I have the WP Mail SMTP by WPForms plugin installed and active. I was able to sync it with my Google Gmail account and it was able to send the test email since I got a messege stating the email was sent successfully. When i checked on the email it was held be Gmail account. I got the Messege Block bounce back email from Gmail. Then this messege

    The response was:
Message rejected. See https://support.google.com/mail/answer/69585 for more information.

I tried to resent the email again but this time with not HTML and it was able to be sent with no errors.

Don’t know exactly why it is not working anymore like before. I hope it can get fixed.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

If the test email was sent successfully, SMTP is all set on your site. HTML emails are most likely filtered and sent to the spam folder than the plain text emails. Make sure your domain has proper DKIM / SPF records. These are the email authentication methods and helps improving email delivery.

    I hope this helps!

Please I have this same issue. No notification is delivered. I use wp mail SMTP, it delivers plain text fast but no delivering HTML. Please really affecting, I have called the host but they said all is perfect at their end, I even requested a take back of the site to like 7 days of perfect work but issue persisted. Pls help.

    Hi @topgofglobalservices,

Please create a new support post with more details such as the mailer, SMTP settings you’re using.

    Thanks!

I was able to get mine working by enabling the “less secure” apps options in my Gmail account. Once I did I was able to get the HTML version of the emails. So if you have issues check your email account settings and make sure you have the allow less secure apps enabled.

It should be a Google away to figure out how to allow less secure apps. I did it and this was on the top links

    https://hotter.io/docs/email-accounts/secure-app-gmail/

I can only assume that this might be the same on other email companies like yahoo, or outlook, etc.

Good luck and thanks for reading.
