Emails sending from my email address instead of the “from” address

    I installed this plugin because I’ve been having issues with gsuite not receiving emails from WooCommerce.

    Now I can receive emails into gsuite with this plugin installed, but it only ever sends email as the address I used to connect with, not the email I put in the “From Email Address” field, either in the Gmail SMTP settings or in the WooCommerce email settings.

    Is the “From Email Address” field broken? Or is there something not set up correctly?

    I want it to send email as a group address, so that customers who reply to emails would send emails to a group of people rather than to one individual. Is this possible?

    @stronganchortech, Google doesn’t allow this for security reasons.

    Okay, does that mean that the “From email address” field does not do anything? Or am I misunderstanding something?

    Is this a feature that used to work, but later was blocked by Google?

    @stronganchortech, The from email address is passed to Google. But it simply ignores the data at the moment.

    If that’s the case, could you remove the field entirely, so others don’t get confused like I did? Or at least add a note in a label that says this won’t work until Google changes how it handles the data?
