    Hi,

I have a fairly standard Woo website. When a user places an order, the user will receive two “We’ve received your order emails”, and the admin will receive two “New Order” emails.

As soon as I disable FluentSMTP, the issue goes away, and only one email is sent.

How do I go about debugging this? I use FluentSMTP on around 50 other websites, including Woo sites, and haven’t run into this issue before (no issues at all, in fact!). The set-up under Fluent Forms -> SMTP is the exact same.

I can provide login access if required.

    Thanks

Hmm, I tried with WP SMTP, same issue occurs. Set to send via Brevo / Sendinblue, same issue occurs.

If I clone the website to staging, the issue is fixed, weird.

Dosn’t look to be Fluent SMTP specfic.

    I have the same issue.

For me it appears when I switch my Stripe payment plugin from Legacy checkout to New checkout.

Are you also using the Stripe plugin?

    Hello @elaraweb,

I understand that you’re encountering an issue where duplicate emails are being sent when using FluentSMTP with the Stripe payment plugin.

We’ve investigated this issue and found that it’s a rare occurrence, and we’ve been unable to reproduce it on our environment. It’s possible that this issue is specific to your site or hosting environment.

Could you please provide us with some information about your hosting environment? Specifically, we’re interested in the following:

    • Hosting provider and environment details.
    • Server type
    • PHP and MySQL version and specs.

This information will help us narrow down the possible causes of this issue.

Additionally, have you tried disabling any other plugins or making any changes to your site’s settings to see if that resolves the issue?

Please let us know if you have any other questions or information that may be helpful.
