Embed Page ID into Code Snippet for displaying full HTML

I have a need to insert a CODE snippet into my theme which is acceptable. However, I need to embed a page (not a post) into the CODE snippet. The reason is that if I use the theme ‘article’ shortcode, it removed all formatting and displays as simply text. I need the article to display on the home page in full html code.
