[Embed] Soundcloud, issues

I am trying to help a friend with his music page and he wants to embed some of his songs on his website

So I read up on it and was happy to see that it looked quite easy to get the proper shortcodes.

share -> embed -> wordpress returns this shortcode:

[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/157531774" params="auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]

But when I enter the code in visual or html editor and publish the page nothing happens. The shortcode appears as plain text, no iframe or code is being generated.

Also tried using the default theme.
