When I embed a Youtube or Vimeo video and iframe is created width a width of 1200px. How (where) can I change this to full-width?

Hi @tastymouse – this depends on a couple of things, such as the theme you’re using, and whether it’s a block theme.

In Twenty Twenty-Three (a block theme) for example, elements – including video embeds – set to Wide alignment have a default width of 1200px.

You can change that value in the Site Editor under Styles > Layout:

Let me know if this helps! If you need further assistance, please provide a link to a page on your site with a video block, so I can take a look directly.

Oh, but if you just want a full-width video, choose the Full option from the alignment settings above the block, no need to modify the Wide width as I showed above. Screenshot:

    Hi @zoonini ,
I see how this works with Twenty Three, which I still need to be accustomed to since it doesn’t use the customizer.

I usually use Astra theme, I’ll ask them, else I’ll have to change to Twenty Three.

    Thanks, Tom

Asking the Astra folks sounds like a good idea!

FYI, it’s not just block themes (like Twenty Twenty-Three) that provide a full-width option for video embeds. For example, I just tested Twenty Twenty and the full-width option’s there too. So if you wanted to stick with a classic theme that uses the Customizer, there could be other options. ??

Great, thanks for this extra information.
