The easiest way to embed YouTube videos is simply to copy the URL into your post or page: see Codex on Embeds.

If you need more options than the default functionality provides, start with a plugin search for YouTube. All of those plugins are completely free.

I went back and unlinked the URLs and then placed the [embed] and [/embed] tags on either side of the video’s YouTube URL and they came up just fine.

Viper’s Video Quicktags is the best I’ve used. It’s also free!
