Embedded Audio Auto Play

I often embed multiple mp3s as Quicktime files (I like the way they look, and the wp audio player doesn’t have a progress bar). Every time I change something and update the post, ALL embedded mp3s switch to “auto play.” Also, even when they’re switched back to manual play, some browsers still start them automatically.

Is there a more effective way to cancel the auto play on these embedded files?
