This appears to be a new problem, my client just reported that he suddenly could not see the embedded document.

Did some testing, and here’s what I see: Firefox (most current version), no problem, In Internet Explorer (V 11), up comes a message that says
    —————————–
This content cannot be displayed in a frame

To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame.

    What you can try:
Open this content in a new window
    ————————————–

In Chrome (most current),the area where the document should be is blank.

For testing I have made sure to clear all caches before testing. Tried a few times in fact. It does not appear to be a size problem, the PDFs are about 3 Mb in size.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Bill,

Have you checked the “notes” page? This has common suggestions/answers for these issues. IE’s error about frames normally comes from nonstandard security settings. I can’t explain what may have changed them to cause the error to surface suddenly, though. You’ll find steps to reset your security settings there. Clearing your browser cache is a great step, but most often the empty/missing viewer issue is caused by broken Google account cookies.

If those suggestions fail to help, please provide more information/links so I can see your particular situation, either privately via the support tab in the plugin settings, or here.

    Thanks,

    Kevin

Hey thanks Kevin for the speedy reply. Yes I had gone thru all those notes. I did some further testing and simply uploaded a PDF to my Google Drive. Sure enough, when I used the link to view the PDF, I experienced the same thing as above. So its not your plugin, its the Google Doc Viewer itself. Isn’t it interesting that Google’s own browser can’t handle its own doc viewer…

I have the same problem. It just started recently.

If it’s not working on Google’s Viewer service directly, there is something wrong with your document, or something wrong with Google’s viewer that would likely affect all browsers. I certainly have had my documents load normally in both browsers as recently as “right now” so if anyone can elaborate or provide an example, that might help narrow the issue. Thanks.
