If you install the plugin and then do not see the single posts you embed in your website (you see only the frame and title of the post, not the image!), AND you look at the website with a chromium-based browser,

then it is because of the tracker-blocker of chromium, that for some reason blocks the image from Instagram (or FB, etc.) that should be shown in the embedded frame of your post.

As soon as you set your tracker blocker on “no blocking”, the browser will immediately show all images from such embedded posts (IG, FB…).

    Hey @horiamar,

Thank you for your valuable input on this. When it comes to the oEmbeds, if you inspect them, they are and have always been a way to automatically embed an iFrame on your WordPress website. What we do is allow for this to be done with an Access Token instead, since the Unauthenticated oEmbeds no longer work. It is still fully an iFrame taken directly from Facebook/Instagram – basically displaying their site on your WordPress site. We can not alter this further – an inherent property of an iFrame – and as such, can not control whether or not certain trackers or Ad Blockers affect the oEmbed and this lies fully in the hands of the creators of these blockers, as well as Facebook/Instagram. Thank you for your understanding, and for sharing what the issue was in your case!

For our actual user feeds we make use of caching, local storage and image resizing to minimize the amount of adblockers and trackers and in many cases our feeds are successfully displayed even when adblockers or trackers are used.

    Many thanks.
