Embedded Instagram Codes Being Eaten

I’m having trouble with embedded instagram codes pasted in the text tab.

Sometimes they display as they’re supposed to. Other times everything looks okay in the visual and text tabs and post preview, but after they’re published, the picture disappears even though the Instagram border is still there and it’s eaten up the entire rest of the post. The social media buttons between the post and comments are drawn into the image and the comments link is italicized like it would be if it were b-quoted in Adelle.

I have published posts that look like they’ll be okay, only to discover the published product has disappeared and everything below the wonky embed has disappeared in the text tab and cannot be recovered.
