embedded pdf not showing on Android devices

  • I use the following code on a page and it displays on Macs and PC ok. Different browsers. However, it doesn’t work on Android devices. It asks the user to login although this is not a protected page.

    The code used is …

    <object data=”https://www.my site/wp-content/uploads/xxxx.pdf” type=”application/pdf” width=”100%” height=2000px scrolling=”yes”>

    or this works on Mac and PC too ..

    <object data=”https://www.my site/wp-content/uploads/xxxx.pdf” width=”100%” height=2000px scrolling=”yes”>

    Any advice appreciated.
