Embedded tweets showing multiple times

I have an issue where embedded tweets are repeated when displayed. If i add a tweet to a post it is fine, if I add two tweets to a post then they get displayed 3 times each. With more tweets the problem gets worse.
The seems to be sumo me related as if I deactivate the plugin this does not happen, if I reactive it it does. Please can you investigate. Thanks.
This page is a good example. If you watch it load you can see that there is only one version of each tweet returned by WordPress and they then displayed 7 or so times.
