Embedding attachment galleries into posts or pages.

  • I would like to know if it’s possible to take the contents of this page:

    …Meaning the large image with the navigation thumbnails/arrows at the bottom, and embed it into a post or page?

    Can the ‘gallery’ be treated as an object? It’s commentable, but I don’t see any means of ‘publishing’ the galleries in that capacity.

    Can it be done without much pain?

    Hmm never mind. Now that I’ve cleared my cache it seems to display all of the items in my media library. Don’t want that.

    Trying to find a decent comics display plugin now.

    When I find a solution to something I’ve posted about, I usually come back to the thread with it; maybe it’ll help someone.

    The NextGen Gallery plugin has a little more than I needed, but it works 100%, and one if its less fancy features solved my problem completely.

    I was able to create an album that I titled with the main title of my comic. Then I created a gallery in that album with the title of the story. After uploading the pages, I can now add:

    [imagebrowser id=x]

    To any post or page and get a simple “slide show” of the material.

    NextGen Gallery comes with a few fancier java or flash slideshows that are actually quite nice and simple that I might end up using for stuff other than comics, but in the meantime this was exactly what I was trying to do.
