Embedding CNN, CBS and other videos

I am continuously having problems with videos. I am using Smart YouTube because I’m not a coder. It is hit or miss with YouTube videos, but as a political blogger I’d like to insert videos from the major news sites. Is there a best video plugin and/or a quick tutorial?
