embedding iFrame in WP 3.0.1?

Uh, apparently the simple <iframe name="FRAME1" src="https://" width="100%" height="550" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto"></iframe> code works … so why the need for a plug-in at all??

I am using this code <iframe src= “URL” name= “Buy Tickets” scrolling= “no” frameboarder= “no” height= “1600” width= “810”></iframe>
Sometimes, when i go to the visual tab WordPress 3.0.1 strips out the code.

I’m having same problem. Any solutions?

I have worked around the issue by NOT going to the “Visual” tab in the Post Editor, when I have a post containing an iFrame. I review all changes via “Preview” button or the use of a second browser window.

I do not know if there is any alternative to using an iFrame. Given this has been a problem since very versions of WP, I am surprised it has not been identified and an issue in subsequent version upgrades.

There is a plugin that I just installed and it worked in 3.0.1, even though the documentation shows it through 2.9.x. It was very simple, took me about 2 minutes. You can find it here:

You will still have the wordpress rules about filtered-html, but if you are an “admin” or “editor” you will be able to embed iframes once you have installed this plugin.

That does work and with WP 3.0 there is no need for permissions.

Agreed! The tsl iframe unfilter plugin worked for me, too. Exactly what I was looking for!

With TLS iframe plugin I had been able to insert the HTML code produced by Amazon Affiliate Program into my post.
