Embedding Video by uploading to local server

I know this has been covered in other posts but I still can’t find the right solution for our needs.

We have wordpress running on an internal server and want users (who are fairly low level), to be able to upload and embed videos on our own server.

We need it to be simplistic so that they click on the file they want to upload (the way it currently works), and when they click ‘Insert’, it embeds the video for them without having to worry about any tags.

Currently it will post a link to the video without embedding, or I have tried the many plugins which will either upload the video to a remote site first, or have the user copy and paste the local link.

Videopress looks like it might work but a) its $60 a year and b) I’m not sure whether you can upload videos to your local server rather than to the 3GB storage it gives you.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?
