Embedding Videos Doesn't Work

  • I’m a writer for symbianworld.org and it seems that embedding videos like youtube and vimeo doesn’t work. I tried to clear cache, history and all to two of my browsers, firefox and chrome with latest version same with flash player. After that the vids aren’t still working.

    On the Visual tab I can see a flash video box (same on vimeo vids), but when I preview it, then there’s no any video, same when I publish the article the videos don’t show and the embedded code is gone when I came back to edit the post.

    I’m just a writer and I don’t have a WP on my pc. But on the other site I tried to post with embedded videos like in thenokiablog.com (wp also) and a mobileworldinnovation.com (blogger) it seems the videos are working. I’m only having problem with the current site (symbianworld.org)

    Is there a need for a plug in to install that should my admin do? But why it only happened to this site with wp.org.

  • oEmbedding doesn’t work for me. I installed the newest WP on a free host (Zymic) for testing purposes. I have automatic embedding enabled in the settings. Posting as admin.

    I will be importing a site with posts using different styles of embedding, straight urls and like [youtube= so I would prefer to not have to manually change 400 embeds to match the syntax of a plugin like Video Quicktags.

    I blame Zymic – with a paid host everything went fine! Problem solved.
