I REALLY want to use your plugin to display content in Memberpress courses. The problem is, we can only use the classic editor for this/ Usually with such plugins a button appears in the classic editor to add either a document, a video etc, next to the Add Media button, but no such option appears for EmbedPress. Am I missing something or is our only option to use shortcodes?

    Hello @cjstrand,

    Greetings. Hope you’re doing good.

Well, we have a direct embedding integration with Classic Editor. So, You can easily embed content by just doing copy/paste the link into the Classic editor. Here is the demo video for you:- https://d.pr/v/JwqNyo

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any further queries.

    Thank you!

Thanks @paulamit – it looks in your video as you just pasted the link and it picked it up as an embed? I am needing to display pdfs so I just cut n copied the link in classic editor and it just, well showed the link!! Am I missing something at the beginning of the video that you click on to indicate the link should be embedded?

@paulamit I tried a Youtube link, that worked but my #1 need is to display pdf files. Will it work at all? Thanks

    Hello @cjstrand,

    Hope you’re doing good.

Actually, we’re working on the process for embedding PDF on Classic Editor. Hopefully, we will bring it out soon. But for now, we have a different PDF block and widget for the Gutenberg and Elementor page builders for embedding PDF. You can also check the videos below to learn how to embed PDF on Gutenberg & Elementor page builders.

    Gutenberg:- https://d.pr/v/XumWM4

    Elementor:- https://d.pr/v/w13I60

    Hope you understand.

    Thank you!

Ah, that doesn’t meet my requirement at the moment then, which is a shame as the site I need it for uses Divi. I guess I could just use Elementor on these pages as Gutenberg isn’t playing nice.

@paulamit I’m back again! ELementor didn’t want to play ball either, but now I have Gutenberg working OK – but when I use the embedpress embed block, I put in a PDF url of a PDF on the same website it says, sorry we could not embed that content!! I’m nearly there! Is there a specific format it needs to be in, or not on the same website perhaps? SO near yet so far ….

    Hello @cjstrand,

    Good day.

Well, we have the EmebedPress PDF block in the Gutenberg editor. You just upload the downloaded PDF file to your media, then insert it from the media. You may also check this screencast:- https://d.pr/v/g1gr0R

After that, if you will still get into this issue, please provide us the PDF link that you have tried so that we can check with that as well.

Let me know the update, please.

    Thank you!

    Hello @cjstrand,

    Good day.

I’m coming up with a piece of very good news. Now, you can embed PDFs in your Classic Editor easily. We’ve recently added this feature. So you can enjoy this feature now.

You can also explore this doc for better learning:- https://embedpress.com/docs/embed-document/#9-toc-title

Hope it helps. Let me know if you need any further help.

    Thank you!
