  • Did anything change? I have some with embedded media and it is still working afer the upgrade to 1.2

    I think it’s since the 1.2 upgrade

I’ve tested on 2 separate sites with both Vimeo and Youtube. They worked for a bit and then stopped?

    Jamie

I’m also having this issue with embedded video’s from Google Drive (YouTube). They are displayed in the custom post but not on the dashboard.

    Anything on this one??

I too am desperately trying to have my Youtube videos embed.

They appear to sometimes work on the source file, but never show on the other client install sites ??

Suzette – are your embeds working on non-source sites? What embed code are you using?

Any news or updates? Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Well this plugin sounded fantastic!

    Unfortunately there are issues:
    — you cannot click the EDIT link after publishing, because if you do – it turns the HELP page into a POST
    — I’ve tried it every which way, even by ONLY editing from the Help sidebar links, but it just doesn’t work

    ——————-
    Solution 1:
    For the developer
    ——————-
Is there any way to add a “class” of “help” to the TYPES OF POSTS in the Editor dashboard?

If we can RESELECT the “help” POST TYPE AFTER editing, perhaps it can be saved back into the Help category/type?

    ——————-
    Solution 2:
    For the user
    ——————-

Whatever you do DON’T EDIT after you’ve published the first time as this is when all the problems arise, and your Help document will be reverted to status of TYPE: POST.

    ——————-
If both these were fixed, this could be a fantastic, really cool plugin, and I can’t wait to be able to use if for clients!

But — on that subject — can we prevent Clients from editing the Help section? It seems that anyone can change anything, and if a client even clicked on “MANAGE”, that particular Help document will be removed from the list of available documents, moved to a blog post, and might totally confuse the client.

Fingers’ crossed all of this can be solved soooon!
