  • Even the database access approach (PHPMyAdmin) isn’t working? Do you have FTP access to the site? Have you tried the hardcoded password values for the admin user in your functions.php file of the active theme?

I guess I’m trying to figure out if you really, really need to use this script.

The PHPadmin did not work. I tried both tutorials for that option. I tried doing the FTP route through filezilla but there were no wordpress files to be found (unless they are somewhere not obvious). Im using dreamhost and the files don’t appear to be there using their FTP either.

Thanks so much for replying, I am really in a tight spot.

Was this ever solved? I dont understand all this php file saving uploading hardcode process :C what am I doing wrong?

I am not exactly sure what issue you are having..but what ended up saving me was checking my spam folder. Silly, but all my password reset attempts were going there so I had no need to use the reset script…best of luck

I checked mine several times, but no luck. Thank you for your reply!
