    Hello,

I currently run a blog at https://thelesbianlifestyle.com. I had been getting an error when loading the blog telling me I was using too much CPU in a 60 second rolling window. It stated I may be running too many PHP scripts.

I decided to log on to my server and putz around. MISTAKE. I Noticed a section on my Bluehost.com control panel that talked about PHP scrips and SQL. I clicked on a few but didn’t do anything. After reading I could tell it was above and beyond my knowledge.

I also opened my ftp. I went into my WordPress Content/ Themes folder. I noticed that the Default and Classic theme were still there. I had a custome theme made so figured I would never need them so I deleted them.

I clicked back on my blog and it opened up just fine. I went to login and plugged in my user name and password. It is now telling me that I am not a registered user. This sucks, as I am the blogs admin and it was under that user name that I make all the changes.

I did try to register using another email address. I never got an email confirmation to the new address.

At this point I am totally locked out of my blog and in a state of panic. Any help would be wonderful!

    I’ve learned my lesson,

    Kelly

  • I use the automatic wordpress upgrade plug in. The last backup file I have is from 9/9/08. I looked in the file and folders and couldn’t find anything that was labeled wp_users. Can you tell me where it would be located within the backup files?

its not in a file normally. Its in your database.

I dont use that plugin, so I dont know if it makes a backup of the database.

Is there anything named qwerty.sql where qwerty could be anything else?

Is there any way to pull from the wp_usersmeta database? It seems that all the authors are still listed there.

Like I said, it the wp_users table not being there, that is the issue. That table stores the passwords and the emails.

So no. You could use that data to recreate a list of users, thats all.

I am currently downloading a backup from 11/22/08. I will let you know what I find as soon as it is finished. I can’t thank you enough. I hope this works!

Ok I downloaded the system backup called weekly.tar files from 11/22/08. I have opened it, but I am not sure where to find the wp-user database. There is no file that specifially states “Database” Do you have any direction?

Here’s a link to a screen shot of the file I downloaded and am currently looking at.

    https://img115.imageshack.us/my.php?image=weeklyja2.jpg

I dont see any image on that page.

Here are the 2 queries you need to do inside phpmyadmin:

    https://pastebin.com/d4af81056

    The resulting password is included.

    Do you have any direction?

From one of my previous posts:

Is there anything named qwerty.sql where qwerty could be anything else?
Also, look for anything ending in a .gz or .zip prefix

    I could not open https://pastebin.com/d4af81056

    I found the following files:

    mysql which contains:
    thelesb1_wrdp1.sql
    roundcube.sql
    horde.sql

Would it be easier for you to log on to my cpanel or is that unheard of. As you can tell I am separate at the moment.

thelesb1_wrdp1.sql <– thats what you are looking for.

its a text file, open it in wordpad. Right click on the file, scroll to open with, and pick wordpad.

Scroll the file until you find:

CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS wp_users

    or something very similar.

(the necessary backticks are bing stripped out of my post above. meh.)

The pastebin site is down right now, I just tried.

send me the sql file. if the info is in there, Ill be happy to put it back in your database.

I am going to sleep though, (I work overnights, 12 hour shifts, and have been up way longer than normal).

my e-mail is whoo at my domain.com, which is -> village-idiot.org

If I dont respond immediately its because ive passed out. But I will look at the sql file, and reply when I wake up.

Found it!!! I will send it to the email you advised. Along with the info you will need to log onto my cpanel. Thank you Whoo!!!

    Kelly

It’s fixed!!! Wooami you are a life saver!!! It seems that I deleated my wp_users database. Thank God I had a backup of the database. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Hi, I’ve opened my blog in December,2008 and only now I’ve tried to get back to it. WordPress says my password is wrong. I can’t find the registered email when I ask for a new password. I’d like to remove my blog (bemflorido.wordpress.com) and start a new one. Help me, please.
    Sandra
