    Since the default option is to aggregate inline css as well, someone using inline and defer css has the risk that the emoji shows up as huge since the deferred css (which has the emoji css) is loaded late.

    So emoji css should be kept unaggregated and inline, at least if inline/defer option is chosen for css optimisation.

    When doing “inline & defer CSS” you’ll have to ensure the “above the fold CSS” has the required CSS to render the above the fold page, including (if required) the emoji CSS Ramanan ??

    Yeah, I actually have the option to aggregate inline css off on my site. I was more speaking about general users who may be careless.
