yes! When I try to put an emoji at the end of my permalinks WordPress makes it disappear

Permalinks are permanent URLs to your individual posts, categories, pages, etc customizing these is a bit tricky.

I am not quite sure I understand fully what you want to do but it sounds like you want to add an emoji to the end of your post, or page URLs ?

Hi @leninzapata it is not possible to add emojis to your page and post URLs. URLs can only support certain characters which is why the emoji is being stripped off.

The alternative would be to add emoji’s to the page, post titles.

and why is it not possible? if currently emoji domains are the new fashion….

example: https://.ws

Hi @leninzapata – it looks like this may be a bug that occurs when editing the slug – you can see the details here:

https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/29347

You can test this by creating a page or post without editing the slug and seeing if the problem happens then.

Indeed, it is a Gutenberg error in the sidebar url. I will comment the issue on GitHub
