Emojis replaced with “????” after restore

    Hi,

    We just moved hosting companies and did a full restore of database after migration. The emoji have all been replaced with ???? There’s a lot of them. ?? Is there anyway to bring these back? Is this a known issue?

    Just to confirm, are you restoring using the same domain or a different one?

    Thanks. It was same domain but new host.

    Sorry for the slow reply. It’s likely that your new host’s database server or database configuration doesn’t support emojis. Do you have a copy of your restore log?
