Emoticons appear in posts, text does not

    Photos and emoticons DO appear in posts and comments – text is NOT appearing.
    This is not a theme issue as it also happens with default theme, any theme.

    The text is available and editable through the dashboard.

  • Site url? Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    You are a wizard – thank you.

    It turns out that plugin, “wp-Typography” was the culprit!
    When I deactivated that plugin everything worked!
