• Hi there,
Is that possible to use emoticons plugin as a standalone one? I mean I extract emotions folder from tinymce-advanced folder, and make it a separate plugin that adds a smiley selector to my tinymce-editor?
The main reason is that I added more smileys with different codes to the main plugin, and I need a separate plugin which is not influenced by updating tinymce-advanced.

The emoticons plugin in TinyMCE Advanced is not the original TinyMCE plugin. It is written for WordPress and only inserts the “codes” for the smilies, like :-). Then WP replaces these with images on displaying the post. It includes all (I think) possible emoticons that would work that way.
