Now that I have applied to TONS of jobs, I find out that a page in my portfolio site is missing images that link to my representative articles.

I created the site in Chrome and it works IN CHROME.

[ redundant link deleted again ]

But too late I have learned that in Firefox and in Edge or whatever its called now, images just are not there.

Here is the page where two of the four are gone. And when I go in to edit the page I see this where the images should be:

“This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is …”

    One file name is Martin_SC-13E_cover-page.png
    The other is ToneQuest-Report-cover-page.png

[NOTE: I added new versions of the images and the links and it seems to be working now. But there is a block under each new image with that error statement. When I went back into Chrome they appear as a second image, which I was able to delete. But in Firefox and Edge it is invisible until in Edit mode, when it is a block with the error that cannot be deleted.]

WHAT IS THAT? Why did it happen? How can I prevent this from every happening again?

The other pages like this have similar file names for images of the size and type and do not have this bizarre behavior.

This never happened in all the years I have done this prior to trying to use Blocks.

Yes. It is no longer an issue. When I saw it was only on one page, I decided not to wait and I copied the same images from the main Portfolio page and pasted them in to replace the two missing images.

However, although this vised the issue for Edge and Firefox, in Chrome there were then two duplicate images, one on top of the other. So I logged in with Chrome and deleted the original images. They were still showing up in Edit mode in other browsers as a frame with a small image icon in the upper left corner and the statement:

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Martin_SC-13E_cover-page.png

I will know in the future to not create pages and content in Chrome without confirming what it looks like in other browsers.
