Empty Cart Error in Woocommerce though product is added to Cart

This “Empty Cart” issue is most often related to caching — I understand you tried flushing the cache, however the page will need to be completely excluded from any caching.

Please make sure your Cart, Checkout, and My Account pages are all excluded from any caching plugins you have installed on the site. Also, please reach out to your hosting company to make sure those pages are excluded from caching on the server itself as well.

If you are still having trouble, please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply. Please note that since this is a public forum, you may want to remove any sensitive information that you don’t want shared publicly.

Dropin plugins will not appear in your Plugins > Installed Plugins list — please ask GoDaddy about disabling that temporarily for testing.

Also, it is not just a matter of “clearing the cache” as you mentioned having GoDaddy do — those pages (Cart, Checkout, My Account) will need to be completely excluded from caching so that they are never cached. If they are not excluded, then a new empty version of the Cart page may be cached as soon as the site is loaded.

Please reach out to GoDaddy one more time to ask about both of the above points.

Godaddy team unable to exclude. As per them they have cleared cache.

To clarify, this is not something you would do — you do not need to make a duplicate/empty Cart page.

I was saying that the caching functionality would be doing that, which could cause the issue you are seeing.

Caching works by saving a version of the page which can be served to visitors, so that the site doesn’t need to generate the page every time. This works well for pages that stay the same, however for dynamic pages that are always changing (like Cart, Checkout, My Account), they can’t be cached.

If you clear the cache but caching is still enabled, then the next time the page is generated it will be cached again. So if it caches an “Empty Cart” version of the page, then that will be served and cause the issue you are seeing.

This is why Cart, Checkout, and My Account pages need to be excluded from caching.
