empty comment spam

  • I can’t empty the comments spam. I use Akismet plugin and i got over 1000 spam comments a day. I deleted all at the end of the day but now i can’ do that, it only let my to delete them manual one by one… imagine 1000 spam. When i click to delete all it take me out from wp dashboard an take me to front page of website. Hope that you got a solution. Thks!

  • Have you tried to disable the plugin, delete it and then reinstall? That might fix your issue.

    I’ve ended up trying a few different anti-spam plugins and the best I’ve come across is “WordPress Zero Spam”. Might be worth upgrading to that.

    Yes i tried that. I delete the plugin and try to empty the spam an that didn’t work. So is not a plugin thing.

    That’s a little weird. The only thing I can think it could be is a mySQL issue – a subject I’m clueless on. Hopefully someone has some better advice than me!

    Yes. It look like when is running a lot of process it takes me to the front page of my site. I deteled the spam with this sql command:
    DELETE FROM wp_comments where comment_approved=’spam’
    but is enoing to go to phpmyadmin every time i want to empty spam.
