empty div stories

hello,
now i use a clean version of WP (5.5.1) with PHP (7.2.26) on DOCKER with even in containers one mysql (i try 5.7 and 8.0).
i have install the free version for understand if it’s plugin right for me.
i want try the functionality, the install and activation it’s okkei, no give me problem.

after i follow the guide, i create a story with text (lorem ipsum), link (lorem ipsum) and image add reference image and save. the second step is active this story in a panel of display (that it’s suggest after i save story)
and i add with shortcode in one sample page [wp-story].

i inspect the page with chrome tools and i see the container box but is empty without story, in the console the error for parse JSON and in the network the call is 200 but the content is not a JSON is the sample page.

You can help me what step i wrong, or if i need other things installed for run this plugin ?
