Empty Feed Rss when permalink is custom

    Hi. Yoast is plugin great to me.

    I have found my feed is empty when permalink type is custom.
    My permalink custom is /%post_id%/. and my feed is https://dobiho.com/feed

    I tested as below.

    1. turn off Yoast SEO plugin: feed is working
    2. change permalink to general: feed is working
    3. change permalink to custom: feed is empty

    I have searched empty feed issue of Yoast SEO plugin, but I can’t find solution as same problem.

    I set custom permalink, because WP Super Cache plugin does not support general permalink.

    My WordPress and Yoast SEO plugin are latest version.
    – WordPress 5.8.1 , Yoast SEO plugin 17.1

    We’re sorry you’re having trouble with feed generation when the custom permalink structure is set to /%post_id%. We’d like to look a closer look.

    In our test setup, we changed the permalink to /post_id/ via a custom permalink structure.

    While keeping the Yoast SEO active and checked the /feed URL, we do see the feed generated as expected with a post ID in permalink, for e.g. <link>https://dev1.xyz.com.np/2464-2/</link&gt;

    We haven’t seen the empty feed as mentioned. Likewise, we inspected your feed URL and saw the feed being generated while Yoast SEO is active.

    If the problem persists, could you please elaborate further?

    Thanks for your fast reply.

    1. trying to change permalink tag
    When I set set custom permalink structure to /post_id/, it saved to “/%post_id%/”
    I can’t save /post_id/ . I guess tag is WordPress reserved tag.

    OK. Yoast SEO plugin has no problem with custom permalink structure.

    2. WP super cache problem?
    When I cleared cache , feed is appeared. but caches are generated, feed is empty.

    I guess WP super cache occurs feed with yoast SEO plugin.
    When I turn off Yoast SEO plugin, feed is worked if I clear wp super cache or not.

    I think I have to research WP super cache.
